We get to know a little more about pompeyhussler.

1 – Vital Pompey username?
pompeyhussler.

2 – Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
Born 1983 in St Marys hospital Portsmouth. Now live on Hayling Island.

3 – How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
April 2009. (Written June 2009)

4 – What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
I think its great, because you don’t always write the same old dribble which comes from the papers its well edited and a much better read.

5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
Google its where you find out about most things in this world.

6 – When did you first watch Pompey live – not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
Blackburn home 1985 can’t remember much about the game as I was only 2. Still got the programme though.

7 – How often do you get to watch Pompey?
Not very much nowadays as just cant afford it. Fulham away Victoria home are the only games I’ve seen live this season. Used to have a season ticket but had to give it up two years ago when they wanted £600 just couldn’t afford it. I first had it the year before we got promoted. I paid £80 for it then you couldn’t get two games for that nowadays.

8 – Who is your favourite Pompey Player – current and/or former?
Current player has to be Glen Johnson one of the best right backs in the world. Former player has to be Paul Merson. If he didn’t come to Pompey when he did we wouldn’t be where we are today. He almost won us promotion on his own. His skill, vision and passing ability was what made our team tick that year. I remember that time he went the whole length of the pitch doing keep e ups and no one could get the ball off him. Great memories.

9 – What is you favourite Pompey moment?
Greatest moment has to be the Utd game in the FA CUP that was our cup final. Distin’s clearance + James save when he tipped the ball on to the post stand in my memory. People talk about the goals and strikers all the time, but it was our defending which won us the FA cup. Not only in that game but in every round.

10 – What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
With this new owner people are hoping for big things. I just hope we don’t go the City way of things and spend £30m+ on players and 150k a week on wages. Spend the money wisely and build season by season. Spend most our new found wealth on staying in the Premiership, building a new stadium and most importantly our youth development system. If we are bringing the best youngsters in the world through our youth system in 3 years time we wont have to spend millions each year on transfer fees and wages.
