That old favourite ‘its complete and utter rubbish’ has been spoken by Peter Storrie to The News today as the denial that had not been coming on ‘links’ to the Ivory Coast manager came… He said: ‘It’s complete and utter rubbish. There’s nothing in it at all.

‘We’ve had no discussions or meetings whatsoever.’

Well that’s that then, from this Vahid Halilhodzic will not be out next manager…

As always, time will tell though.

As far as talk ‘linking’ Peter Crouch with a move away he says ‘Peter’s one of our major assets. He’s someone we want to keep and build a team around.’

I am more than happy with that, but please can we use one of the strikers we have to play along side him, or at least bring someone in so he is not used up top alone again – he cannot do it and this does us no favours…

If we bring someone in, Michael Owen perhaps!
