2 – Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
I was born in London, but worked for the Pompey News between 1969 and 1974. (One of my first jobs was to pick up the film from the ground at half-time to take back for the Sports Mail.) I went to most games, home and away, between the years 1975-1992, when I moved to the South West.
3 – How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
Six months approx. (This was written way back in June/July 2008.)
4 – What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
Excellent site where just about every Pompey topic is covered. I get the feeling the people on the site are REAL Pompey fans.
5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
When the Pompey-Fans.com site was revamped, I didn’t like it at all, and looked around for a new site … that’s when I found Vital Pompey.
6 – When did you first watch Pompey live – not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.

7 – How often do you get to watch Pompey?
Not often these days, as I’m semi-retired and cash constraints, plus the fact I live in west Cornwall, make it difficult. Am going to Wembley though…
8 – Who is your favourite Pompey Player – current and/or former?
Current: David James, because of his strength of character to shrug off all the bad times he’s gone through.
Past: Mark Hateley… the epitome of a striker with both pace and power. Wish we had him now.. what a team we’d be!
9 – What is you favourite Pompey moment?
The away match at Northampton on the final day of the 79-80 season, when the 2-0 result won us promotion and started the club’s march back to greatness.
10 – What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
Just to carry on the improvement on-field and off-field, to become a true top four team, without losing touch with our core supporters.
