One way to deal with a sell-on clause?

Pompey seemed, for once, as though we would be on the right end of a sell-on fee clause – something that had hamstrung us so many times over the years when we were on the wrong end!

This benefit was ‘due’ to come from 50% of whatever Jason Pearce left Bournemouth for.

Although this 50% sell-on fee saw a move to Peterborough fall through a couple of weeks back.

The likes of Burnley and Reading have also been ‘linked’ with Pearce, so we are not talking mugs in terms of sides showing an interest in him.

One solution to the problem that a few here on Vital Pompey had was why not re-sign him, and bring him back to Fratton?

Well, it would appear that this is something that we may well do…

The News is today reporting that a return to PFC ‘could’ be on. We would pay less than other clubs would have to as a compromise I assume?

I for one would not be opposed to this idea, as the defenders stock has raised since he left the club. At the time I was disappointed to see this anyway as I thought he had a decent future ahead of him, which is appears he is starting to grow into now thanks to his time with The Cherries.

What do you reckon guys, would you like to see Pearce back at Fratton?
