Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

15/12/1975: Aaron Flahavan
15/12/1993: Jed Wallace

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Aaron Flahavan and Jed Wallace – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

The late Flahavan almost certainly would have retired by now – I assume – but he’ll never be a player many of us forget. It was such a shame he passed so young. Have plenty of memories of him.

As for Wallace, what a player he was during his time at Fratton Park. Stayed for longer than I thought he would but struggled for football at Wolves. Now at Millwall, on a permanent basis, but still at Championship level, where a player of his ability belongs.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 12
Won – 4
Drawn – 4
Lost – 4

Not too many games in recent years but I was at the draw with Preston in 2012 at Fratton Park – cannot recall much about the game mind so not sure if it was a memorable goalless draw or a forgettable one.

What are your memories of Flahavan and Wallace from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
