14/12/1923: Ron Humpston
14/12/1954: Andy Rollings
14/12/1979: Phil Smith
Happy birthday to Humpston, Andy Rollings and Phil Smith – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Humpston was around long before I was going, as was Rollings – cannot claim to know much about them either.
Do recall Smith from his time with Pompey though, not that he played much. Was very much in and out of the side but did fill in as goalkeeping coach when required so hats off to him – last I heard he was at Aldershot but suspect he has now retired?
Now onto the games previously played.

Remember most of the games from recent years and can claim a couple of games too – the most recent at Fratton Park. However, I cannot recall too much about the defeat against Newport in 2013 or the defeat against Newcastle from 2008 mind. Well, other than the fact we lost.
