Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

NOT DONE

Happy birthday to Mark Blake, Sylvain Distin, Sebastian Olszar and Andy Barcham – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Recall all of these players – some better than others and also saw most in action at points. However, cannot remember too much about Olszar and Blake isn’t one I saw that much as he was with Pompey early in my days of not following the Blue regularly.

Distin doesn’t need an introduction does he, whereas Barcham had his moments but simply didn’t deliver enough did he – a very frustrating player.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 13
Won – 2
Drawn – 5
Lost – 6

I do recall the most recent games with Arsenal and Chelsea well but didn’t take either of these in – I can claim a game today though. That came back in 2000 when Pompey drew with Huddersfield at Fratton Park.

What are your memories of Blake, Distin, Olszar and/or Barcham from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
