The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Scunthorpe United and Portsmouth this Saturday.
Portsmouth travel to Scunthorpe United on Saturday September 23 for the game at Glanford Park and the match carries a 3pm kick off.
Referee: Anthony Backhouse
Assistant Refs: Ken Haycock and Richard Wild
Fourth Official: Ryan Johnson
Match Day referee Backhouse is new to the Football League this season, having officiated at National League level last campaign.
Backhouse has officiated eight games in 2017/18, showing 22 yellow cards and three red cards so far.
He took in 23 games in 2016/17 with a return of 56 yellows.
Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
