Jamal Lowe’s performance was seen as the best – making it two on the trot for him – from a Pompey player against Fleetwood in the midweek win at Highbury

Having been asked to vote – based on your experience of the game as a watching one at Highbury or listening on the radio – with 50% Lowe got this someway ahead of anyone else to again win the Vital Pompey MotM poll.

What the poll asked – Fleetwood MotM

How you voted – Lowe 50%
May 28%
Close 7%
Chaplin 7%
Hawkins 7%
McGee 1%
Walkes 0%
Burgess 0%
Clarke 0%
Donohue 0%
Kennedy 0%
Sub – Ronan 0%

Lowe, doing enough in the defeat at Southend to be viewed as the top man, could well be finding the consistency we’ve wanted from him at this level? Well, based on his MotM awards from recent times this has to be seen as positive anyway.

A word for Adam May, sometimes seeing the finger pointed at him and singled out for being ‘too inexperienced’ and ‘too lightweight’ to be in the Pompey side at the moment, just how exactly do you gain experience if you’re not playing though?! The academy graduate came in second, in fact leading trio of home grown players, Ben Close and Conor Chaplin came in behind the midfielder.

Time to move on; next up we return to Fratton Park as Blackpool visit.

Ahead of this we’re looking for your views, as always, on what you think and how you feel this will go? That requires you to vote on the latest poll – on the front pages or in the forum – in one of ways given.

What the poll is asking – Pompey v Blackpool
