24/2/1999: Daniel Alfei
Happy birthday to John Mackie and Daniel Alfei – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Obviously Mackie was well before my time – and anyone reading – but do remember Alfei from his loan spell from Swansea a few years back. Had his moments but wasn’t overly struck on him to be honest.

I do remember a good number of the games but can only claim one; I was at Fratton Park for the win over Sunderland in 2008.
