Goalkeeping issue?

Pompey could have to contend with a potential goalkeeping quandary against Bradford at the weekend after Luke McGee suffered a quad injury in defeat against Blackburn on Saturday.

According to the News ‘the Blues No1 missed training with the rest of his Blues team-mates today’ and will now undergo a scan on his injury.

The severity of McGee’s problem isn’t going to be known ‘until later this week.’

McGee has been a virtual ever present since his arrival from Tottenham in the summer but should this setback sideline him Alex Bass could be in line to make his league debut – I’m pretty sure he didn’t turn out for Pompey in League Two – for the Blues at Fratton Park this weekend?

However, Kenny Jackett could make an emergency loan signing, which is permitted when it comes to a ‘goalkeeping crisis.’ Then again this is getting a little ahead of ourselves isn’t it, let’s see what the scan shows first.
