This is either sublime or ridiculous…sky sports is ‘reporting’ that Peter Crouch could move to German champions Wolfsburg!
Wolfsburg looked ok when we played them in the uefa cup, but had you told me when I was over in Germany for that game that they would have gone on to win the Bundesliga I do not think I, or a number of others, would have believed you but they did, and hats off to them.
Despite champions league football on offer the thought that Crouch would swap England for Germany is ‘surprising’ to say the least…
Sky sports says ‘the 28-year-old England international is rumoured to be considering a move to Germany having been sighted at a concert close to the VFL Stadion.’
From that snippet alone the phrase ‘putting two and two together’ springs to mind!
That said his comments the other day could also be thrown into the mix to give it a little more foundation perhaps?
Although Wolfsburg have admitted they are looking for another striker and have spoken to some – but would not comment on who they were – and his agent, Jonathan Barnett, is said to have said this: ‘this emerges to me as an interesting option for the future of Peter Crouch.’
Hmm, I would not be putting much money on a move to Germany, a move away from Pompey perhaps, but not that one? Time will tell on this one I guess…
