The League One season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Bradford’s perfect recorded ended when Blackburn, pre-season favourites to win League One, secured a first win of the league campaign. Rovers’ 1-0 at Valley Parade also ended the Bantams’ long unbeaten home run, maintained throughout the whole of last season.

The goals flowed at Bury, Charlton and Doncaster when the Shakers were beaten by the odd goal in five, the Addicks hit four in a 4-1 win and Rovers shared a six goal thriller, ending 3-3. Results for these sides came against visiting Bristol Rovers, Northampton and Blackpool, respectively.

MK Dons’ first win finally came when they beat Gillingham 1-0.

A 100% record in league and cup is something Wigan, under Paul Cook, who will face his former club Portsmouth next weekend, won at neighbours Oldham to keep the positive start going – Peterborough’s good start was also maintained when Posh beat Rotherham.

Pompey, warming up for that aforementioned game at the DW Stadium, recovered from defeat at Oxford with a 1-1 draw at Fratton Park against Walsall. Speaking on the U’s they suffered a first loss when slipping to a loss when the leaders lost at Scunthorpe.

Meanwhile, five goals were witnessed at Greenhous Meadow as hosts Shrewsbury did enough to edge out Rochdale 3-2.

Here’s a round-up of the League One results.
