Bradford missed the chance to close the gap on the top two when slipping up at home to Plymouth, this victory at Valley Parade saw the Pilgrims up to second-bottom above Bury – who drew at fellow strugglers Gillingham.
Another side moving away from the relegation zone were Northampton, who won at Oxford.
