Season ticket prices have been announced with up to 70% being offered as discount for them.

Details, as issued on The Pompey Site this afternoon, are as follows…

Season Ticket Prices Slashed
Pompey season ticket prices have been slashed by up to 70 per cent for the 2012/13 season.

An existing adult season ticket holder renewing at the early bird will pay just £13 per game and save a total of £151 on last year’s prices.

And any junior Blues fan will pay just £75 for their season ticket – that works out at just £3.26 per match!

Season tickets go on sale at the early bird rate from 10am on Wednesday, June 6 until Friday, July 6.

Pompey joint administrator Trevor Birch said: “The fans’ support at this crucial stage in the club’s history is vital. We have tried to be fair and reward them for their support over the last few turbulent years.

“We have consulted supporters’ groups before setting season ticket prices and hope that the prices we have set reflect that consultation.

“There has to be a compromise – the club has to generate as much income as it can given the financial problems that it faces, but we recognise that fans don’t have bottomless pockets.

“The fans have been tremendous in their support for the club over the past few months and we have done all we can to maintain the same atmosphere at Fratton Park next season by making tickets affordable for everyone. We have been particularly keen to encourage young supporters and the junior ticket prices represent great value.

“Until we have more clarity on the club’s long-term future, all the money from season tickets will be ring-fenced and released as games are played, so that funds are protected if the club fails to fulfil its fixtures next season.”

Blues boss Michael Appleton said: “Last season was obviously a difficult chapter in the proud history of Portsmouth Football Club. But hopefully we can put that behind us as we prepare for a new challenge in League One.

“Ever since I arrived at Pompey last season, I’ve been amazed at the level of support shown by the fans.

“Despite all the problems the club has faced, they have been unwavering in their backing of me and the team. That’s something I’m incredibly grateful for.

“Now we need as many people as possible to come to Fratton Park in the forthcoming campaign as we look to rebuild this great club.”

Season tickets can be bought in person from the Frogmore Road ticket office, online here or by calling 0844 847 1898 (option four for renewals/option five for new sales).

Tickets bought online and by phone are subject to a booking fee of £2.40 and £3.60 respectively. These booking fees cover the cost of using Ticketmaster’s services. We do not add any other charges. The cost of postage will be covered by Portsmouth Football Club.

Fans can download an application form here or collect one from Fratton Park.

Supporters renewing their seat can avoid long queues by filling in their form in the Chimes Lounge on Wednesday, June 6, Thursday, June 7 or Friday, June 8 (9am-5pm) and then hand it in with a cheque or credit/debit card details. Supporters buying a new season ticket will have to go to the ticket office.

Season tickets can be bought by cash (from the ticket office only), credit/debit card or with a cheque made payable to ‘Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Ltd in Administration’.

Supporters who have bought or renewed a ticket will then get the opportunity to move seats from Tuesday, July 10 to Friday, July 13.
