‘The special one’ for England

Jose Mourinho should be the man England turn to! Not my vote, yours – although these findings from The Rabbi, whitestones and pompeycarpet’s combined poll are thoughts I completely agree with.

Following Spineless Steve’s sacking there is a vacancy with England, ‘the special one’ Jose Mourinho is currently out of work, and although it was previously said he had ruled out the job, more recent news has claimed the opposite with him said to have told the FA to ‘make him an offer’.

He would be my choice – so if we can get him we should, no two ways about it, this is what I had to say to one of the vital football directors who recently asked other editors to vote for or against Martin O’Neill – I voted against, and said…

I would not be against Martin O’Neill as the next England manager, do not get me wrong, but do not think he will get it, nor will he want it?

I think Fabio Coppello has said that he would take it, so I would not mind that. I just hope that ‘Fat Phil’ Scolari is not approached again – he said no before, so that should be it.

People might say Harry Redknapp is not the kind of fella the FA would be looking for, but if there is a better English candidate out there I would be surprised – clearly I DO NOT want this to happen though, and pray it will not happen… I think he would get board not having the day-to-day involvement anyway.

Arsene Wenger would be the man I would love to see in charge, he would do something special with England – but he will not want to leave Arsenal, and I do not blame him…

If he really meant it when he said in the past that he would take the England job, offer it to ‘the Special one’ right now, get him down to the FA and let those spineless cowards start saying ‘yes’ to him, not looking for someone like Spineless Steve to say ‘yes’ for them…

So, after taking the long-winded road round – Jose Mourinho would be my choice.

What the poll asked – Who should be the next England manager?

How you voted – Jose Mourinho 53%, Don’t care 10%, Sven Goran Eriksson 7%, Jurgen Klinsmann 7%, Marcello Lippi 4%, Stuart Pearce 4%, Martin O’Neill 3%, Harry Redknapp 3%, Alan Shearer 3%, Arsene Wenger 2%, Phil Scolari 1%, Guus Hiddink 1%, Mark Hughes 1%, Steve Coppell 1%

Current Poll – Another month has ended football wise for Pompey, with it being another successful month, yielding 2 wins and a draw.

This successful month has also brought many a successful performance from many a Pompey player, but who has been our best performer in November – this is what pompey wants to know with this – ‘Pompey’s player of the month for November?’ Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.
