An article from Pompeytim giving his views on what he thinks is the best bit of business that Pompey conducted before the transfer window closed.

Jed Wallace is still a Pompey player.

Some seem to dislike him. I don’t understand it. To me Jed is our best player. He & Connolly are on a different level altogether.

Without Wallace on Saturday we were half as effective as we were with him. His introduction injected real pace & creativity.

The news that he is still here now the window has slammed shut is great.

  • well said Tim!

wallace had not been at his best, in the main, but with the transfer window now closed (until the loan one opens!) hopefully his focus is fully back with us now and a new deal can be signed?
think it was a clever move by whittingham to drop him at the weekend, but he definitely looked hungry when he came on and proved he wanted back in and made a HUGE difference…
