Portsmouth may have a wealth of options up front but striker Danijel Subotic explains why competition can only be a good thing.
We’re getting to know our new boy Peter Crouch. He is a funny guy. He is such a good player. I think I will learn a lot from him. He’s really tall but he has amazing technique and a great touch.
Having the competition is a good thing; it is what makes you better. If I was older, say 25 or 26, I would be worried but I have time. I know I am going to be a player for the future. Training and playing with people like Crouch, Kanu, and Jermain Defoe is great for me – I will improve every day.
They are all such different types of striker. If I can take something from each of them, it can only be good for my game. As I said in my last diary, Kanu is one of the best strikers ever – as long as he is here I can improve and learn a lot.
