Before most Pompey games at Fratton – and our second home of Wembley – we here at Vital Pompey try to organise a meet up so we can have a drink and a chat prior to the game. This invitation is always an open one, with all welcome!
So, ahead of the charity shield – I know it is not called the charity shield anymore, but that it what it will always be to me – on Sunday anyone that is interested is invited to join me, and I assume others at The Torch, which is just off Wembley Way… If you do not know where it is Google it and you will find a map.
Several from this site met at this pub prior to the FA cup final.
As my party were running slightly later than planned and wanted to soak in all the atmosphere we went into the ground early – as this is a day for the fans, a day for us to enjoy with nothing to lose I am not in such a hurry to make my way in this time so I should be there, or thereabouts with my brother, sister-in-law, cousin and our mate Saunders from around noon onwards I would suggest so come along.
Some of my travelling companions from the years will also be joining the party – with one fella needing to be passed a ticket anyway so he had to turn up with them – with them arriving around 1.30ish.
So, if you can and indeed if you even want to why not come along for a chat and a drink before we beat Manyoo on Sunday. Remember, as said the invitation is open to all…
