With the season opener against Oxford just days away now it would appear that no one is none the wiser as to who the no.1 will be?
You would think that Guy Whittingham and his coaching staff know, but it would seem that the players do not.
The fact that Phil Smith was handed the no.1 shirt when the squad numbers were issued could lead you to think that it would be him.
Although both Smith and John Sullivan have been used a lot during pre-season so it is hard to tell which one it will be it will be as little sign, or indication, has been given really has it.
As I have not seen anything from pre-season, and therefore still have not seen what Smith offers and can only base my views of Sullivan on fleeting glimpses I had seen of him at the likes of Charlton and Wimbledon I am none the wiser!
My gut instinct, when he signed, was that Sullivan will be given the nod. So I think I will stick with that.
