Perhaps not surprisingly Setanta have opted to show the Bristol City and Pompey replay live on 13th January, kick off is scheduled for 19.45 GMT. With the prospect of the holders falling at the first hurdle it was always going to get the nod. This will be Pompey’s first appearance on Setanta Sports this season.
Ticket details will be announced by the club shortly.
Another Replay
This is the third time Pompey have been paired with Bristol City in the FA Cup. All three were played at Fratton Park and all ended in draws. To date the two replays were both won by City, 4-1 in 1973 and 2-0 in 1935 (when Pompey had lost the Final to Manchester City the previous season!)
Let’s hope lightning does not strike THREE times!
FA Youth Cup Tickets
The following night, Wednesday January 14, Pompey entertain Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup fourth round. Tickets which can be bought in advance for the South Stand only, priced £5 for adults and £3 concessions, are on sale from the club`s ticket office.
Alternatively, cash only tickets can be bought from the media centre on Frogmore Road on the evening of the game.
The tie against the FA Youth Cup holders kicks off at 7pm.
