It’s an expensive business football, taking kids even more so but prices at Fratton have been reduced for next season.

This is what the Pompey Site had to say on the matter…

==========

TICKETS SLASHED FOR KIDS

Pompey have slashed Premier League matchday prices for children in parts of Fratton Park next season.

A ticket in the Family Section for anyone aged 16 or under is now just £10, compared to £12 last season – 17 percent cheaper.

And in the Milton end the price has dropped from £18 to £15 for juniors, also a 17 percent drop.

Prices for juniors in all other areas of Fratton Park have been held at last season’s prices. A junior ticket in the West Stand (Fratton end) is £22, for instance.

Adult matchday tickets have gone up by £1 – equivalent to a rise of between 2.4 percent and 3.1 percent.

Matchday tickets for seniors – anyone aged 60 or over – have also risen by £1, an increase of between 3.5 percent and 5.3 percent.

Ticket office manager Elaine Giles said: “It’s very important that we attract young fans to Fratton Park – they are our next generation of supporters. We also appreciate rising living costs.

“That’s why we’ve either held prices for juniors or cut them, which gives youngsters a better chance of seeing their heroes in action.”
