The Pompey Predictions League is very much part of this site now isn’t it? Would it be the same without it – I’m not sure it would to be honest with you.

Firstly, Fleetwood, I was hopeful of a win at Fleetwood but cannot say I was actually that expectant. However, I’ll take it no questions asked, thank you very much.

Over to uspompeyfan for his latest update to the 2017-18 season after that…

Pompey did what they do so often and surprised us with a solid performance, gaining a nice 3 points on a midweek road trip.

Three players had the confidence as Rug, Steaming and Storage Matt all achieving maximum points for the win. The points help Steam keep tabs with the leading group. Morgan has hit a wall and is allowing the pack to close in, with USPF cutting the lead to 10 points.

Secondly, Blackpool, I’m happy to say it wasn’t a game I travelled to in the end, which was just as well as it would have proved a lot of money and time well and truly wasted as I was swiftly informed, via a phonecall from my cousin, I had ‘dodged a bullet’ by missing Pool’s win at Fratton Park.

Dire by Pompey at home again, and as positive as we make it, it shows just what Pompey are capable of doing. We have to accept our limitations and the January window showed that the club doesn’t want success this year.

Blue Exile predicted the debacle while Chris 1954 believed we would score a goal. Other than that, our brave group of predictors were let down at home. Morgan maintains her lead, but Blue Exile has cut the lead to a mere 5 points, while a further 5 points back is USPF.

Blue Exile had a great February with 50 points, while Dorking picked up 30 in the short month.

Let’s see if Pompey can regain some form in March?..

Anyone can enter at any time remember. Just because you missed out on predicting for the game against the Cod Army and Tangerines it’s by no means too late so join in now, for the first time perhaps in the next League One game.

This comes at Fratton this afternoon against Gillingham.

As we’re always keen to make it as easy for you as possible – as we want PLENTY to get involved – the forum link for your prediction to be made for this game is below… along with the remainder of the games for this month too.

NOTE – There will be no Predictor of the Month prizes during this competition. However, the monthly high score winners WILL be put into a pot for an end of season draw – this can be claimed or donated to a charity I’m supporting.
