The Pompey Predictions League is very much part of this site now isn’t it? Would it be the same without it – I’m not sure it would to be honest with you.
Another defeat, which came prior to the FA Cup loss against Luton and the Checkatrade Trophy win over Charlton in midweek, was suffered when Bradford left Fratton Park with the points to end October.
Few would have turned down a point, even if more were wanted, but a late winner from the Bantams saw us end the month with a 1-0 loss.
Over to uspompeyfan with his latest update to the 2017-18 season…
The game was set up for disappointment with a crowd of over 18000. So often the team have disappointed and today was no different. A lot of effort but no finishing power would lead to a lapse of concentration at the back and another defeat. We are a mid-table team this year, so we`ll take the good with the bad.
When I questioned Morgan’s prediction, this was her reasoning for the selection. She doesn’t have the same passion for the club as her old man, but she follows the Blues as her team. Maybe it is that perspective that has sent her clear at the top of the table. A 50 point month has seen Morgan pull back Jim Smith’s Wig’s 20 point lead from midway through October. Chris and Storage Matt were the other scorers today, while Khodgkins blew his 5-points by switching to a draw.
Morgan takes the October monthly title, edging out the resurgent USPF who came second on 45.
