Harry Redknapp has gone on record as saying he was looking for another striker and a winger before the transfer window ends – and ‘reports’ are claiming he may be about to get a winger?

Jonas Gutierrez, better known as ‘spider-man’ in La Liga due to his love of superhero, even more so after donning a spider-man mask – as he had promised – in celebration of a goal he scored for Real Mallorca.

The Daily Mail is claiming that the left winger, which makes it a little more tasty, as a left winger would be what Redknapp is looking for, ‘caught his eye’ when he had gone over to Spain to watch Fredi Kanoute, but Gutierrez ‘stole the show’.

The amount being banded about it £4m, which for a 24 year old international, as he made his Argentina debut in February this year, is not bad is it – I am not familiar with the fella myself though, is anyone else?

One fella that wont be coming to Pompey though is Trinidadian youngster Lester Peltier, who along with a couple of his countrymen were said to be interesting Pompey.

A work permit was not given, much to the anger of his agent who claims the Trinidadian Football Federation did not do a lot to help the ‘highly talented’ midfielder win a work permit – so he will not be able to come to the South Coast.

PLAY UP POMPEY!
