23/9/1986: Martin Cranie
Happy birthday to Ron Tindall, Liam Daish and Martin Cranie – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Tindall was before my time but is a player I know of well enough by name. Meanwhile, Daish was also before my time at Pompey but recalled well from his international football and at club level with the likes of Coventry.
Crainie – now at Huddersfield back in the Premier League I believe – is one I remember well enough and was a decent player but one who didn’t really get much of a chance.
Now onto the games previously played, ahead of the trip to Scunthorpe today.
