The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Oxford United and Portsmouth this Saturday.

Portsmouth travel to Oxford United on Saturday August 12 for the game at the Kassam Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Graham Salisbury
Assistant Refs: Graham Kane and Leigh Crowhurst
Fourth Official: Marc Wilson

Match Day referee Salisbury has officiated two games in 2017/18 showing a whopping 17 yellow cards and one red card.

He took in 36 games in 2016/17 with a return of 116 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count that season was six yellows in the game between Newport County and Barnet.

He took in 35 matches in 2015/16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 120 yellow cards and eight red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Barnet and Luton in March where he showed eight yellow cards. Bury and Wigan Athletic in October saw seven yellows being shown and one red and he repeated that trick in April in the game between Hartlepool and Mansfield.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
