No ‘bare bones’ talk at all…

We have a number of suspensions and some injuries yet incredibly we have not heard the ‘bare bones’ speech from Harry Redknapp at all in the past week or so – what’s going on!

This is a speech that we almost always get, a speech that makes the vast majority of us cringe, yet with Sulley Muntari and Papa Bouba Diop suspended, Lassana Diarra out with a hamstring problem and Lauren out with illness – at least he was last weekend, with 3 of this 4 certain not to return this weekend, added with the news that Lucien Aubey has a hamstring problem and Hermann Hreidarsson might have a bit of a knock – so could be a doubt, it is a surprise we have not heard this, a pleasant surprise though?

Sol Campbell should return this weekend and other midfielders can step in, what is more Redknapp even seems prepared to rest Niko Kranjcar.

What a change it does make not to hear the ‘bare bones’ talk, quite the opposite in fact and the talk is that players still have the opportunity to play their way into a semi final place next weekend? whilst I suspect this is probably someway wide of the mark, as I would think he knows the team he would like to play, lets hope that this move away from that kind of ‘bare bones’ talk will stick eh!
