As if it was needed Trevor Birch, talking to The Sheffield Star, has refuted reports linking him with The Blades: ‘there has not been an approach from United for Dave.

Even if a league one club would pay his wages it almost certainly would not be Sheffield United as just a few days ago ‘cost cutting measures’ with a more ‘workable budget’ needed this season was something that I saw the club talking about. Couple that with 11 players, including some, I would guess, high earners released they will not replace them with another high earner, especially one that is hardly a world-beater!
Like I say in the title Dave Kitson to Sheffield United, arguably anyone this summer, is ‘never EVER gonna happen’…
