Marlon Pack – progress report…

As said recently, following the Pompey players currently out on loan is something that I ‘hope’, with the help of my fellow Vital eds/their sides members, to do more of this season to keep us more updated with how they are going during their loan spells away from Fratton.

Marlon Pack is currently on loan with Wycombe until the end of the month – at least. The 18-year-old is reported back to us by Len, from Vital Wycombe.

Enough from me I will hand you over to Len:

‘Marlon Pack has extended his loan period at Wycombe Wanderers until 31st October and you won’t find any Chairboys complaining about that.

‘The youngster forced his way into the team a few weeks ago and has now started the last four games, winning the Man Of The Match award for his performance in Tuesday’s game against Tranmere Rovers.

‘Standing in for Wycombe’s best player, the injured Northern Ireland international Tommy Doherty, Pack has shown a maturity beyond his years and at the moment, is probably the first name on manager Peter Taylor’s team sheet every week.

‘Strong in the tackle and with a great range of passing, Pack has been playing the holding role in midfield for Wycombe. Whether or not he offers much going forward remains to be seen, but he does like to try his hand if we get a free kick within range, to no avail so far I’m afraid!’

Thanks again to Len from Vital Wycombe.
