Little returns to Reading

Glen Little has played his last game for Pompey, what with his contract expiring in the summer and unlikely to be renewed, as he has returned to Reading on loan for the rest of the season.

His chances have been limited since he arrived due mostly to injuries and of course others being ahead of him in the pecking order.

I still say that the guy is better than a lot of people give him credit but he is just so immobile that this makes him look far less effective than he actually is – the constant injuries he picks up also do not help either do they. In all honesty he came to Pompey a couple of years too late – he was a player that Jamie’s Dad had always wanted, and as he did with Andy ‘the mercenary’ Cole he eventually got the player, but probably too late in the career…

Little returning to Reading is not a surprise at all as from the minute we signed him it was said that Steve Coppell would welcome him back at Reading on loan, or permanently, at any time and this wish has been granted. I say good luck to the guy and I wish him and Reading well for the rest of the season.
