Harry Redknapp knows as well as we do that he needs another striker – and he is plainly open in his admission of this with us ‘linked’ with so many… He is also plainly open with his desire to bring Peter Crouch back to Pompey.

Today the media is plastered with Redknapp admitting – once again – that he would ‘take him any day of the week’ after he told The Daily Star: ‘I like Crouchie and I would take him any day of the week.

‘But I just don’t know whether Liverpool would be willing to sell him.

‘He did a great job for me when he was at Portsmouth before and he is also a very nice lad’.

Would Liverpool sell? I do not really know… Would he come back? Again I do not really know, but have this feeling that he would.

The general opinion I get from people is that Crouch feels he is ‘too big’ – not literally, merely figuratively – for Pompey, something that to be honest I do not agree with.

If we had the money, and we put in a serious offer that ‘got Liverpool thinking’ I think that he could and would come back, but then again I could be way off in my thinking!

There is plenty more on this issue in the forum – with some thoughts that I have shared that were shared with me click here for more details…
