Hermann v Pamarot, seconds out…

Hermann Hreidarsson has missed the last couple of games with a groin problem, but he is looking as if he should be fit for the weekend game with Man City – but will he get back in…

After his first few games Hreidarsson looked, lets be honest, terrible. I could not wait to get him out of the side but he has since been fantastic, he has settled into the side and knows his role and has excelled, both offensively and defensively.

His injury gave Matty Taylor a chance – or so we thought. Instead Noe Pamarot was given the opportunity to play at left back, but he failed miserably against Blackburn… but then again not many did do well in that game.

Taylor came in at half time and did very well, but Harry Redknapp stuck with Pamarot, surprisingly at the time, but he scored a screamer against the barcodes last weekend to open the scoring, but he also had a very good game.

Now Redknapp is faced with a difficult decision. I would like to think that Hreidarsson would not be ‘expecting’ to walk straight back into the side, but can we afford to leave him out?

If Pamarot is taken straight back out again it would be more than a little harsh on him, but you have to go with the better players, ‘sentiment’ or ‘fairness’ does not get you to where you want to be does it…

To be honest I would not want to be the one telling Pamarot he would not be playing if Hreidarsson is fit this weekend, but as he is a naturally left sided player I think that I would put him back in, but I would do it with a heavy heart.

So come on then, if fit who is it to be then fellas – Pamarot or Hreidarsson?
