‘Have whatever you want from the menu Mr Redknapp,’ is what Sasha Gaydamak said to Harry Redknapp.

‘Lovely jubbly,’ said Redknapp as he butted in before the sentence could be finished. ‘No more bare bones for me then Sash,’ beamed Redknapp as he continued, the pound signs in his eyes getting bigger by the second!

Gaydamak, by this time looking decidedly sheepish added: ‘Mr Redknapp, you misunderstand. You interrupted before I could finish. I was saying have whatever you want from the menu Mr Redknapp, as long as it is from the Dominos Pizza menu’…

Pompey owner Sasha Gaydamak, who has a controlling share of ‘Global Brands’, who in turn owns ‘Dominos Pizza’ have seen profits for the pizzas company up 34%!

Here is a stat for you that I was made aware of – Dominos sell almost 40m pizzas a year through 500 stores.

Looks like Sasha is in the money, his chequebook could be on its way out again anytime now then… Although in all seriousness and fairness he does have this open a fair bit and also now has a state of the art training complex to also fund!

(Obviously most of the above is a tongue in cheek approach – just to make this clear to any that might take it the wrong way? It is his money to do with as he pleases, after all at the end of the day he is a business man and Pompey is not his only business interest – although to be fair I think we are not ‘just’ a business proposition for him anymore anyway!)
