A ‘rare’ show of emotion by the normally poker faced Avram Grant on Tuesday, when he confronted referee Kevin Friend at half time, has seen him hit with an FA charge…
He marched onto the pitch to angrily confront Friend, who – on the whole – was not very friendly on the night, and this saw him banished to the stands for the 2nd half.
This has seen him charged with ‘improper conduct’.
Grant has until 6pm on Thursday to admit or deny the charge, which will then go before ‘a Regulatory Commission’ in early March, well maybe this month, something before March 5th anyway…
I was MORE than happy to see Grant do this as I had, in all honesty, had a few thougths recently that ‘perhaps’ he has given up, but this proved he has FAR from given up!
