They are saying that Harry Redknapp is to step up his pursuit of Jermain Defoe and will ask Sacha Gaydamak to give him the funds to make an approach.
This ‘link’ has been a long and tedious one that just will not go away no matter what, so lets see once and for all if Defoe really would be interested in moving to Pompey, or if he sees us as ‘too small’ by making this approach if he is the striker that Redknapp wants.
Spurs are prepared to sell if he wants to go, so as said lets see what the score is. Not everyone is keen on Defoe but he will score goals, and this is what we have been lacking from our strikers this season.
