An article from Pompey-N.I on the recent ‘reports’ that we are after Cardiff’s Darcy Blake – read on for more.

The mirror has reported that Pompey, along with Ipswich, are keeping tabs on the young Cardiff City defender Darcy Blake.

The 23-year-old Welshman is a centre-back by choice but can also play full-back and has played at right wing. He has 8 caps and 1 goal for Wales and is considering his future after losing his centre-back place in the bluebirds’ first team.

In all honesty I don’t know much about this player but I personally don’t particularly see the sense in this signing as there are definitely other areas of the team which need strengthening more urgently than our defence however this could be a sign that Mokoena is on his way out of the club and that we are looking for a lower waged replacement.

Or it may all just be a rumour……PUP.

  • For me, its good that the press are linking us with players other than stuff about embargoes/administration etc..I am very eager…probably TOO eager to see who our new owners are..there have been some excellent rumours..including the owner of O2 arena and LA Galaxy to the Pozzo family who own Udinese.
