Sky sports is reporting that Djimi Traore has become the first of the ‘wage grabbers’ to be cut adrift by Pompey with him completing a free to Monaco – joining them on a 2-year contract.
To be fair to the guy, he might not have been the best player we have ever had but was also someway from being the worst, right?
At the end of the day anyone that can play over 100 games for the bin dippers and pick up several medals, including a champions league winners one cannot be all bad can they…can they?
Whatever though Traore has landed on his feet with the French side, although they may well look back with regret sometime down the line…
