Benji should remain the lone ranger

Benjani will be the lone ranger if expected Harry Redknapp sticks with the 1 up front policy! Not my vote, yours – although these findings from pompeyrug’s poll are thoughts I share.

In an away match Pompey will more often than not play a lone striker – like it or not – this is a near certainty to be the case against Newcastle at the weekend and most expect this to be Benjani.

Kanu is fit again now, so with Redknapp such a fan of his it would not surprise me in the slightest if he did return but to be honest I would stick with Benjani and hope that he does.

One thing that we know for sure is that it will be either Benjani or Kanu – as it is not likely to be David Nugent is it…

If you have not already made your predictions in the Pompey predictions league on this match do it here.

What the poll asked – It will almost certainly be ‘1 up front’ against the barcodes – but who?

How you voted – Benji will stay in 70%, Kanu will return 25%, Someone else? 5%

Current Poll – David Nugent has had a tough time since signing for Pompey, will things get easier or is he living off borrowed time.

I think it is fair to say that the fast majority of us want him to be a success, but maybe we are a little worried about how things are going and will go still, but what do you think, expect or hope will happen to him, that is what the poll wants to know with this – ‘Dave Nugent – what should, will or would you like to happen to him?’ Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.
