I have been ‘tipped off’ – Benjani has completed his transfer to City… this is also now being reported by sky sports.
The fans favourite looked as though he had completed his transfer on deadline day before a complete farce followed, but some 4 days or so after the closure of that window he has finally gone to City.
It is with a heavy heart that I – and I now doubt say most, if not all of you – say goodbye to Benji but from a business point of view Jermain Defoe arriving – and he will now make the switch from a loan to a permanent one – is a good one.
Details of a fee involved and a length of contract are not known at this time – and maybe they never will be?
I have this feeling of déjà vu having already wished Benjani all the best, but this really is it this time he has gone, good luck to the fella, City have signed a special player…
