Back, and in contention, for Brighton?

By my reckoning Tal Ben Haim’s loan with West Ham ended following their spanking against Newcastle last night, if he played or not I do not know?

I ‘think’ that a 5-month loan deal would have ended now, and as far as I am aware there has been no confirmation of a loan extension or permanent signing either – well apart from The Mail saying that ‘West Ham are looking to extend Ben Haim’s loan from Portsmouth until the end of the season’.

So, with that in mind, as much as I must admit I would not want him to return – as I do not think that he is particularly that good and most definitely not some £38,000 per week good! – surely he has to?

‘If’ he does I guess he comes into contention for our FA cup game against Brighton at the weekend as a result…

In an ideal world West Ham will agree a deal to keep him, at the very least on loan until the summer, as bringing his full wages back to Fratton, for the rest of the season, is something that we most definitely cannot afford.

Lets just ‘hope’ that if a deal is agreed West Ham pay most, ideally all, of his wages until the summer, then we just have to worry about what happens then for the final year of his contract…
