PompeyFrippy gives us a gentle reminder about his virtual bookies game that takes place in the forum – read on for more.

So, the season is 27 games old for all competitions and there have been some shocks, some surprises, some great runs and some forgettable ones, but Frippy’s Virtual Bookies has taken many a pounding.

Let me get you up to date, in its inaugural 5 months, over 12,000 virtual pound has been paid out to the players. But in recent months interest has dwindled to say the least, with most weeks only bringing in 4-5 players.

During the course of the season, only 22 people have got involved so far and around half of these have been dormant for most of the season, so this article is to get you involved.

Where?

In the Forum Listings, below Rug’s Prediction League is a separate forum for all the games. Each upcoming game will have a separate thread where ANYONE can bet. The thread contains a list of betting markets from match winner, to anytime goalscorer, even the amount of subs Pompey will name on the bench.

When?

I usually post the next game around 3-5 days before it takes place, and you can bet from when it is posted right up to kick-off time. Results are also posted within 24 hours of the match finishing.

Why?

Why not? It’s all free, it’s all fun and it keeps the game interesting. No matter when you join you start with the same balance (1000 virtual pound), and it only takes one decent win to catapult you up to the top of the table, just ask current leader, pompey–pessimist, who was 18th a week ago.

So get involved, it’s never too late to join and you never know, you might just have some fun.
