Another saints star being monitored

Pompey could raid the saints for the second time in under a year after Tony Adams confirmed that he has watched their winger Nathan Dyer.

Andrew Surman was the man that had been reported as interesting Pompey, but Adams has been open in his admission that Dyer – likened to Shawn Wright-Phillips – is being closely monitored.

He is out of contract in the summer, but as he is only 19 a compensation amount would be required as he is too young to qualify as a free agent – unless this has changed? – under the Bosman ruling, but if Harry Redknapp – who gave him his debut during his sabbatical with the saints – does make a move it could come in January anyway, with a right sided option needed with the loss of John Utaka when he goes off to the African Nations.

To be honest I have been very impressed with the fella when I have seen clips of him. The one and time I have actually sat through the whole of a saints match since they played us and we won 4-1 was their league cup defeat this season, a match in which he looked particularly impressive with some fantastic skills resulting in a saints goal.

He looks to have the quality to make it – so I for one would not be against his signing, what about you fellas?
