What does the wonderful world of Mark Lawrenson, the so-called BBC’s ‘expert pundit’, have to offer us this week? Lets see…

Looking at his column on BBC Sport, Lawro’s predictions – here, I see that he has us down for, ding, ding, ding, that is correct a defeat at Stoke. Although he was wrong last time out as he expected us to draw 1-1 at Blackburn, and we lost…

This is what he said: ‘I think this one will be tight and edgy.

‘Portsmouth play decent enough football but the big question when you go to the Britannia Stadium is whether or not you can cope with what Stoke are going to throw at you. Unfortunately, I’m not sure Portsmouth can.

‘Verdict: 2-1’

Quite often I am fairly ‘critical’ of ‘Lawro’, who I feel – like most of his mates at the BBC – is not that keen on us. Although, to be fair, I think he could well have a point this weekend as we are faced with a very tough task.

‘If’ we cope with that Stoke ‘throw’ at us, we could get something and prove him wrong!

What do we think guys?
