Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only ‘hope’ that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully ‘do right by us!’ Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be ‘guess work’ and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, also A LOT will depend on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess…

#5 Jamie O’Hara

Jamie O’Hara has proven to be that Sean Davis like terrier that we needed to replace him in midfield after he left last summer – at times he has been headless chicken-ish, although Davis was streets ahead in those stakes.

The Spurs man has added quality to our midfield too, with him missed when he could not play.

For me he has the determination and quality of the likes of Matty Taylor and Gary O’Neil, with the qualities that both had almost rolled into one with him – if only we could have had all 3 of these players in one team this season eh!

It still frustrated me that there was an insistence on him taking care of virtually all of the dead balls that we had, when he gets it right he gets it right but there were times it is not going for him so I would have preferred him to step aside and let someone else have a go, but hey ho.

Will he stay or will he go?

Go, if only he could, or would stay…

We have NO chance of his loan becoming a permanent deal, let alone looking to extend it next season as things currently stand, even if he might have been interested in doing this, which I am sure we would have.

Staying was something that he had hinted at, and ‘might’ have been an outside possibility if Uncle Avram stays – which is dependant on various things he would need – but Jamie has now made clear will not be the case. He will not play in the championship next season as he has no need to as he knows he is a premier league player, his own words, although to be fair he is right.

One thing that is certain is he WILL leave Spurs this summer and he will not be short of premier league offers.

O’Hara is a prime example of the kind of loan you love to hate – you love it as you loved the loan spell at Fratton, but you hate it for the fact that a loan is all it will ever be, even if you wanted more…
