Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only ‘hope’ that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully ‘do right by us!’ Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be ‘guess work’ and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, a lot might have been dependant on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess, and we now know that he has gone…

#19 Danny Webber

Whilst I was not exactly jumping for joy when Danny Webber arrived I could see why he was signed and I still think that he is our most natural striker, not that this is saying much about the firepower we have/had I guess!

He probably is not top-flight standard anymore, and deep down I suspect that he knows this, but could you blame him for wanting that ‘last hurrah’ with us.

Whatever though I quite like the guy.

Will he stay or will he go?

Stay, he is at his level so we can benefit…

The fact that he has a serious knee injury will decide this as much as anything I guess.

That said the no power championship is without a doubt a level that he is proven at so, as long as his knee recovers, he could have a fine season for us.

It is important that he is used as a striker though as opposed to a wide player, as had often been the case with us, as he IS a striker and cannot really play out wide with any really impact being made. He is willing to do this but not able as he does not have the ability of a winger.
