There can be few clubs with such a history of squad rotation as Pompey.
This summer, as with the past 2-3, I would suspect that ‘most’ will be wondering where their future lies.
Although unlike some other years some players under contract at least ‘should’ have a better chance of remaining where they are, as long as this is what they want!
If this is what they want, and it is a financially viable option for us, lets hope this is what they get…
#18 Dave Kitson
When he arrived I would be a liar if I said I was not delighted, as I was. For him and Liam Lawrence to both arrive from Stoke for Marc Wilson, who I have missed, and for us to get cash too was fantastic, or so I thought!
I soon got to thinking that I wish Kitson had failed to agree terms…
A lack of effort, interest and enthusiasm makes me furious. I would not care, so much, if he were not scoring so long as he grafted and did a lot less whinging than he does. There is a distinct lack of interest with him though, it seems.
If ever a man had dined off two good seasons, one at this level and one in the premier league, then Kitson – and some years back mind – has!
With another couple of years left on his contract we are stuck with him I reckon! So, Kitson’s future – and perhaps the rest of his career – lies at Fratton…
