What a legend Linvoy is

Most players cannot wait to get back into the team at any cost, not Linvoy Primus he is happy to wait his turn, as he aims to get back in the side on merit – this just proves what a great fella Primus is.

As he told the Pompey Site he wants to get back into the team because he deserves too, he does not want individual errors to see him back in at the expense of someone else. Even if it means him staying out of the side, he would rather the team performed well as a unit.

Once the opportunity arises for Primus I have no doubt that he will, as he always does, grab it with both hands and will then be very difficult to leave out again.

He is inching ever closer to being available for a return, as he came through a further 80 minutes against Arsenal on Monday, playing at Underhill, the home of Barnet – where his professional career really took off.

To be honest at this precise moment in time he cannot get back into the starting 11 for me soon enough, if it means someone else missing out then so be it.

My own thinking would be, although it means playing one of Primus or Sylvain Distin slightly out of position I would want to see these two and Sol Campbell all in the back four, probably with Distin at left back in place of Hermann Hreidarsson, who is not convincing me to be honest.
