‘I know, not think, Glen Johnson will decide to stay’ and ‘it is 50:50 that he will either stay or go to the bin dippers’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from a couple of pompeyrug’s recent polls are thoughts that I did agree with to begin with, on the 1st but did not necessarily agree with the 2nd to be honest, and to be fair nor would many others at this point in time I think.

So this is what these couple of recent polls asked, and found out…

  • What the poll asked – Do you think – not ‘do you want’ – Johnson will stay?

  • How you voted – Yep 73%, Nope 17%, Time will tell… 10%

At the time I think these thoughts were fair enough, more than fair really, but after all this probably was last week sometime before the ‘confirmation’ that we would sell came from Peter Storrie.

  • What the poll asked – Where will Johnson go?

  • How you voted – Bin Dippers (Liverpool) 37%, Nowhere, he will decide to stay… 37%, Chelski 22%, Someone else 3%, Citeh 1%

I think that these thoughts were more out of hope than expectation to be honest, as this was post Storrie’s admission he ‘could’ and probably ‘would’ be sold.

Whatever we have thought and/or hoped for an interesting article on setanta sports should put pay to this tonight?

An eagle eyed bin dipper, these guys do not miss anything, pointed out to setanta something that just about confirms the fact that Johnson will, or at the very least is almost nailed on baring a failed medical, which will not happen, to be plying his trade at Anfield next season – click here

So, there we have it we have hoped and some refused to let this hope go but I think full acceptance that Johnson has played his last game for Pompey needs to be accepted now guys – we just await that official parading of him with the fat waiter when both are back from their holidays.
