The League One season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Things got underway on Friday evening when the Dons of Milton Keynes went away from Kingsmeadow with the points after a win at AFC Wimbledon.

Blackpool’s good run came to an end when Bristol Rovers saw off their challenge with near neighbours Fleetwood again conceding four goals – for a second game in a row – as Southend left Highbury with a much needed three points.

The winning run under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink came to an end when Bradford won at Northampton. Meanwhile, a top of the table battle saw Peterborough victorious by the odd goal in five when beating Wigan 3-2 at London Road.

Plymouth’s difficult start continued when they were heavily beaten at Home Park by Doncaster, who like the Pilgrims came up from League Two last season – Gillingham were also soundly beaten at Rochdale as their troubles too continued.

Goals aren’t proving an issue for Rotherham as they managed another five goal return when thrashing Oldham at the New York Stadium but leaders Shrewsbury had to be content with a point when Blackburn rescued a late draw.

Here’s a round-up of the League One results.
